Q4 2024: Document Automation and Signatures
1) Pagination and Pageless views in Document Editor
Documents can be displayed in the New Document Editor in pagination view or in pageless view.
Pageless view will temporarily be the default option but can be deactivated in the View tab.
Pagination mode is currently in the beta version.
2) Enhanced formatting of automated documents
Pagination view displays headers, footers, page sizes, page margins, and page numbering.
Additionally, the following new formatting options have been added:
- Spacing between cells in tables
- Table borders formatting
- Column Break
3) Improved import form Word
As a follow-up to enhanced formatting, import from Word to the Template Editor has been significantly improved to capture all Word formatting that Legito supports.
4) Enhanced integration with Adobe Sign
Our users have been able to pick Adobe Acrobat Sign in Legito as their tool of choice for signing documents digitally for some time. However, up till now their options were limited to base functionality. We are happy to announce that this very popular service has been integrated even deeper into our application, making several new exciting features that Adobe offers available.
a) Adobe Acrobat Sign integration
The first thing we did is integrate Adobe Sign into Legito, which allows users to go into settings and log into an Adobe account from there. This connects Legito to your Adobe account which, in turn, eliminates the need to log in to Adobe every time you need to access data. This also allows for the use of additional advanced features that Adobe offers (see below).

b) Adobe workflows
Legito integration with Adobe Acrobat Sign now supports Adobe workflows.
When y your Legito and Adobe accounts are connected, you can select the Adobe workflow you want directly in Legito. When selected, Legito automatically recognizes which recipients need to be filled and which ones have already been set up in the workflow. If you have applied tags when preparing the document, recipient data is automatically extracted and filled, further simplifying your signature process (you can read more about our tags here). Signing a document prepared this way will be a breeze!

5) New workflow triggers
Additional automatic workflow triggers have been added for those (hopefully rare) occasions when your documents are not successfully signed. Now you can trigger a workflow stage change whenever your document is voided (signatory declines to sign) or when the signing time expires. This is in addition to the“signature cancelled” trigger which is already available.

6) New Timeline Events and Notification
All the above updates (Signature Expiration and Voiding) are also reflected in new notifications, emails, and timeline events. The take-home message here is that you won’t miss a thing!
